How it works

Scenema writes, narrates, draws and animates it. Open Scenema any time to review or change a shot.
For what Claude can and cannot do with video on its own, read our guide to whether Claude can make videos.

What your assistant can do in Scenema
The same studio as scenema.ai, by asking. Projects you make in the chat open on scenema.ai too.
Start from an idea or your files
Give a topic, paste notes into the chat, or point to PDFs, slides and images you uploaded to your Scenema library.
Get the script written
Scenema drafts the narration and revises it when you ask. Or keep your own script word for word.
Pick a voice and record it
Choose a narrator from the voice library, in more than 75 languages, or one you cloned.
Use your own audio
Upload a recorded voiceover to your library, name it in the chat, and Scenema builds the video around it.
Choose a look
Pick a style from the Scenema catalog, or describe the look and let Scenema find a match.
Plan the shots
Scenema lays out every shot to match the narration, with the same characters and places throughout.
Draw and animate
Each shot becomes an image in your style, then a moving clip at the quality you choose.
Change any shot
Ask for a new angle, a different image or a fresh take on one moment. Only that shot is redone.
Check progress
Ask what is done, what is running and what comes next.
Export the video
Get the finished MP4 when the shots are ready, and find it on scenema.ai too.
See your credits
Check your plan and balance from the chat, and what a step will cost.

The chat is on us
Your conversation in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor costs nothing on Scenema. You pay credits only for the work Scenema does for you: the script, the shot plan, reading your files, and every image, narration and clip.
A full video uses more credits than a single image. Ask your assistant for your balance at any time, and see every charge in Scenema under Settings, Usage.

FAQ
Frequently asked
What is the Scenema MCP?+
MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT use other apps for you. The Scenema MCP lets your assistant make AI-animated explainer videos in Scenema: write the script, record the narration, plan and draw the shots, animate and export them.
Do I need to install anything or write code?+
No. In Claude or ChatGPT you add a connector with one URL and sign in. Developers can connect from Claude Code, Cursor or their own apps the same way.
Which assistants work with it?+
Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor, and any other app that supports remote MCP servers with sign in.
What does it cost?+
It is included on every Scenema plan, Free too. Your conversation in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor costs nothing on Scenema. You pay credits only for the work Scenema does for you: the script, the shot plan, reading your files, and every image, narration and clip.
How do I give it my files?+
Files you attach in Claude or ChatGPT stay with that app. Upload them to a folder in your Scenema library instead (Library, Upload files), copy the folder path with Copy folder path, and name the folder or the files in the chat. YouTube links and text can go straight into the chat.
Does my Claude or ChatGPT plan matter?+
Adding connectors is up to Claude and ChatGPT, and some of their plans have limits on it. Scenema charges nothing for the conversation itself.
What happens to my files and videos?+
They stay in your Scenema workspace, the same as projects you make on scenema.ai. Open them there any time to review, change or download them.
What can it not do yet?+
It cannot edit a video you made outside Scenema, and long videos take a while to draw and animate: your assistant can check progress for you. Creating custom styles and cloning voices happen on scenema.ai; once made, your assistant can use them.
What is a good first thing to try?+
Ask for a one minute explainer on a topic you know well, in a style from the catalog. Then ask for a change to one shot and watch only that shot update.
